Andrew Murray Congregation
Jesus calls you: "Come live with Me!"
The English ministry at Constantiakruin—today known as the Andrew Murray Congregation—began with a clear calling: to create a spiritual home for the many English-speaking families in our community.
As one early vision document records:
“we became aware of a great number of English‑speaking residents in our community… The Lord had continuously stirred our hearts to start an English ministry”
From the beginning, the dream was to build a space where bilingual families, multicultural households, and spiritually searching people could belong, grow, and encounter Christ in a language that feels like home.
Over the years, the congregation has grown into a beautifully diverse community. Today, the Andrew Murray Congregation reflects a multicultural makeup, welcoming people from across South Africa and beyond. Children are an integral part of our life together: little ones up to about five enjoy a dedicated Bible lesson during the service, while older children join the larger Afrikaans Bible-teaching classes—an intentional step toward unity and shared formation.
The ministry has been shaped by seasons of faithful leadership, from early part-time preachers to the significant growth under the ministry team, whose focused role allowed all ministry energy to focus on Andrew Murray. Alpha courses, small groups, youth engagement, and community outreach have all played a role in shaping a congregation where people find a home, deepen their faith, and ultimately discover a path to wholeness and growth.
As we look ahead, our hopes remain rooted in the same heartbeat that started it all:
To be a welcoming, Christ‑centred, multicultural community that reflects the
love of Jesus to our neighbourhood and beyond.
At the Andrew Murray Congregation, you’ll find more than a service—you’ll find a home. A place where every culture is honoured, every family is welcomed, and every person is invited into a journey of hope, healing, and belonging. Whether you’re exploring faith, returning after time away, or searching for a community that feels like family, there is room for you here. Come as you are. Discover who you can become.
We gather every Sunday with band-led worship and a warm, family-centered atmosphere!
Throughout the week, several Bible study groups meet in homes and online, offering spaces for deeper discipleship, friendship, and prayer. There is a place where you can grow in faith and become part of this congregation.

Voices from our loving church family
My Journey Home: Where Faith Becomes Family
I have been a member of this congregation since childhood, but my faith truly came alive during Easter 2024 when I accepted the Lord into my everyday life. Through adult catechesis and Pentecost, I finally found my feet firmly planted on this holy ground. At Constantiakruin, I found the answers I was looking for; it is my home and my path forward. My connection here is so deep that I believe my car would find its way to these doors before I even have my learner’s or driver’s license! This sense of belonging supports me even in my studies as a second-year counselling and psychology student, as I learn to serve others with the same heart I’ve found here.
What truly makes this place home is the family of faith that walks beside me. This church gives me life by being a family that, with every step, has unwavering faith in Christ. I love my church indescribably and walk the path ahead with total peace, knowing nothing can tear me away from this family.
